Take time to set up a space for yourself. Make it a place where you can relax into the space and be in the moment. This is your time. Take a few deep breaths, and set your intention that you will enjoy the process!
I found the photo I choose above to be inspiring then realized that I have never done art by myself in the outdoors. I did many group events like 'art in the park', taping newspaper roll to the side of a deck for preschoolers to do a mural, and similar outdoorsy stuff. However, I mostly use my dining room table when doing art projects on my own. There is a different feel in working alongside of others, and being in the zone when immersed in your own art for hours on end. It feels more private indoors in your own space. Although I'm sure nature enthusiasts would feel right at home in the outdoors. I may have to venture outdoors on my own and try it. The important thing is to find the place that works for you.
Questions to Consider:
Do you like to make art on your own or in a group?
Do you prefer the indoors or outdoors? Or both, equally??
Do you like the quiet of the outdoors?
If indoors, do you listen to a sound track?
Which spaces do you find is better for getting into the zone?
Daily Inspiration:
"Your sacred space
is where you can
find yourself
over and
over again."
~ Joseph Campbell
